Covid-19 Update

26 March 2020

We are facing unprecedented times in primary care and across the health and social care sector. The Phoenix Programme was designed for GPs at all stages of their career to provide programmes that support recruitment and retention of the workforce and development opportunities. We will continue to offer support to you wherever possible, but over the coming days and weeks we may need to adapt our programmes to work differently. Please bear with us whilst we make these changes.

Support can take many forms and now, more than ever, it is important to work together to look after our patients, our colleagues and importantly ourselves. We have a wellbeing section which also links to further resources on the Nottinghamshire LMC website.

We will continue to accept new registrations during this time. Please go to the Register page if you wish to do this. This is particularly important for newly qualified GPs as we have a programme that will offer you support and guidance, which may be even more necessary in the current climate. Please explore the ‘New to Practice GP Programme’ for further details.

We are also compiling a database of healthcare professionals who have the capacity to help GP practices experiencing workforce shortages during this pandemic. If you are a GP, please click on the highlighted link to complete our sign-up form. If you are any other type of healthcare professional e.g. nurse, HCA, please sign up using this form.
